Yes, I agree with your point. If you have a single BFF, it definitely is a single point of failure. However, if you have multiple BFFs across various platforms (Web, mobile, etc), there is a chance for you to make your application functional at least on one platform until the issues are resolved. That's one method of rectifying such issues.
